Are you feeling depressed or anxious? Do you feel your life lacks meaning? Are you troubled by your thoughts or feelings? Why not give us a call? We may be able to help you.
The Guild of Psychotherapists Clinic was founded in 1998 with the aim of providing access to psychotherapy for those on a low income. We continue to offer psychotherapy to those aged 18 and older who live in Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. We welcome everyone regardless of ethnicity, nationality, disability, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and age.
What we offer
We are able to offer once-weekly psychotherapy for up to two years, either face-to-face at Nelson Square or remotely by phone or video link.
What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a talking treatment that provides a safe, confidential and non-judgmental setting in which to explore hard-to-cope-with issues that may be difficult to discuss with family and friends. You can read more about psychotherapy here.
How much will it cost?
The first meeting is charged at £35. Thereafter the fee charged depends on your situation. We operate a sliding scale from a minimum of £5 per session. Once agreed, session fees are payable whether you attend or not.
How do I get started?
Call 020 7401 3260 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a first meeting. This lasts around 90 minutes and will give you a chance to explain what troubles you, and to ask any questions you may have.
What happens next?
We will contact you shortly after the first meeting to allocate you a therapist. If we feel that talking therapy is not your best option then we will suggest other alternatives.
Please do not hesitate to contact the clinic to ask any questions or to book your preliminary consultation.
The clinic is staffed at the following times:
Tuesday 9:30am – 5:30pm
Wednesday 9:30am – 5:30pm
